About Me

While I was born and raised here, I never imagined that that Knoxville would be my forever home. When I was younger I dreamt of following in my father’s footsteps in becoming an instrumental engineer, helping to create and build things that would help protect our country. While growing up and being in ROTC, I discovered a passion for being a part of community and leadership. I enjoyed the competitive nature when on the wrestling team, and found that my love for games would help me meet my lifelong friends.

Although I didn’t become an engineer, I have found a passion for electronics, building and customizing my own PCs. My time in ROTC helped lead me to serve and protect in the Army for 5 years. I still enjoy playing games, only now it is something you can find me doing with my wife and son in my time off.

Knoxville is my home and will always be where my heart is. This is where I grew up, went to school (Go Bearden Bulldogs), met my wife, and started a family. My ancestors came to the Americas from Bowridge Hall in England in the 1600’s and slowly moved down to what is now Tennessee. My heart is in the roots of Tennessee and will be there long after I am gone.

I love Knoxville, I cannot express this enough. I want to see Knoxville thrive and better plan for its growing population and infrastructure for small and big businesses alike.

I have spent 12 years in banking and finance, rising up to manage the corporate branch of a local financial institution. I have strong knowledge working with the local mortgage and consumer markets. I have seen what this strange time of high inflation, interest rates, and cost of living has done to our community.

I also take pride that I have assisted others in managing their books for small businesses and have even consulted small start up businesses to help them thrive in our community.

My insight into the business and the housing markets will  allow me to provide strong, actionable, and applicable plans to improve Knox County.
